HP Pavilion DV9000 Entertament (AMD TURION VERSION). HDD SATA problem.
HP Pavilion DV9000 Entertament (AMD TURION VERSION)
Problem is that Notebook came with Hard drive that is not hese original. Hard disk is SATA2 WD 120GB.
When I trie to format it from WINDOWS XP or VISTA (tried diferent versions) console, I get message that HDD is demaged and format can`t contiunue.
If I format it from PQ MAGIC and start WINDOWS XP instalation, after coping files and restart I get massage :
STOP: C0000221 Unknown Hard Error \SystemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll
If using windows VISTA, when start instalation, I got message that setup will not contiunue and suggesting to restart computer.
I tried with 7 diferent Hard disks and all behaving the same.
Is it problem with incompatibiliy or something else?
Prompt help please!

1.Check what controller of the mother board with HDD works, utility for your HDD
2.Try Load disk SATA drivers.
3.Possible distribution program is damaged
4.Integrate driver SATA in distribution program
I tried diferent sata drivers for WIN XP. VISTA 64 ULTIMATE who have integrated drivers for that SATA controller also behaving the same way (Partition can be erased and redefined but can`t format it).
Posible South bridge problem (since SATA controller is in it). I`ll try to heat him and reply the result.
Try to boot from LiveCD and look what XP says about HDD.
